AWD EVs under $60,000 in Canada (September 2026)
- data
All-wheel drive used to be a premium add-on for EVs, the kind of option that pushed a vehicle well past $60,000. That is no longer true. We searched our site for every 2025-or-newer model-year EV with all-wheel drive and a starting price under $60,000, sorted by MSRP, lowest first.
That turned up 48 trims once every body style and option package is counted separately. The table below keeps one entry per model, the cheapest AWD trim.
| Vehicle | MSRP (CAD) | Range | Standard |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV AWD | $47,298 | 494 km | NRCan |
| 2025 Toyota bZ4X AWD | $50,990 | 367 km | NRCan |
| 2025 MINI Countryman SE ALL4 | $52,990 | 341 km | EPA |
| 2025 Subaru Solterra AWD | $54,495 | 367 km | NRCan |
| 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ AWD | $54,990 | 486 km | NRCan |
| 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 AWD Pro | $55,820 | 423 km | NRCan |
| 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV | $56,998 | 502 km | NRCan |
| 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 Long Range AWD | $56,999 | 509 km | NRCan |
| 2025 Honda Prologue Touring | $57,900 | 476 km | EPA |
| 2025 Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD | $59,990 | 550 km | WLTP |
A word on the "Standard" column: NRCan, EPA, and WLTP rate range using different test cycles, so treat the figures as a rough guide across rows rather than an exact comparison.
A few things stand out. Range does not track price here — the cheapest vehicle on the list, the Equinox EV, still lands in the top half of the table at 494 km, while the priciest, the Tesla Model 3, tops it at 550 km, though WLTP tends to rate higher than NRCan for the same vehicle. Eight of the ten entries are SUVs of various sizes; the Hyundai IONIQ 6 and Tesla Model 3 are the two sedans.
This is a snapshot of starting prices, not a ranking of quality — MSRP excludes freight, PDI, and any provincial or federal incentives you might qualify for, and a higher trim on any of these models can add both range and cost.
