What's new: charging port location, now in plain language

Every EV has its charging port in a different spot — front, rear, driver's side, passenger's side, sometimes dead centre. It sounds minor until you are backing into a tight driveway, sharing a garage outlet with a neighbour, or lining up at a public charger with the cable on the "wrong" side. It is exactly the kind of detail a spec sheet should make easy to picture at a glance.

Until this week, ours didn't quite manage that. The charging port location field on vehicle pages was pulled straight from the underlying data, so it could show up as a raw code like rear_left instead of something you would actually read.

That changed this week: charging port location on every vehicle page now displays in plain language — "Rear, driver side," "Front, passenger side," and so on — in both English and French, matching whichever language you're browsing in. Look for it under "Charging Port" in the Charging section of any vehicle's specs.

This builds directly on last week's data-quality work, that collapsed roughly 70 inconsistent spellings of the same handful of physical locations — "Driver Side Rear," "rear_left," "Rear driver side" — down to 12 values. Cleaning up the underlying data first is what made a readable label possible this week.
