Three-row EVs with seven seats in Canada (October 2026)

  • data

Hauling the kids, their friends and a hockey bag is where many EV shoppers hit a wall: most electric vehicles seat five. We searched EVpedia for every 2025-or-newer model-year EV that lists seven seats, sorted by MSRP, lowest first.

The search returned 70 trims across ten models. Rivian's R1S accounts for 47 of them, because each wheel, battery and motor combination is counted separately. The table keeps one row per model: its lowest-priced listed trim.

The Hyundai IONIQ 9 has no Canadian price on file yet, so it sits at the bottom rather than in price order.

What the numbers show

The price spread is wide. The two least expensive models, the ID.Buzz and the EV9, start under $65,000, while the Rivian, Lucid, Volvo and Tesla entries start between roughly $97,000 and $115,000. Range does not follow price neatly. Comparing two NRCan ratings, the VF9 ECO lists 518 km at $79,990, while the 2026 R1S Dual Standard lists 415 km at $99,900.

Be careful comparing the Range column down the rows. EPA and NRCan use different test cycles, so a few kilometres either way may reflect the standard rather than the vehicle. Some models appear under both. The table's 2025 ID.Buzz Base carries an EPA figure, while the 2026 ID.Buzz Base and ID.Buzz 4MOTION list 377 km and 372 km under NRCan. R1S range runs from 415 km to 660 km depending on the trim, with EPA ratings on the 2025 trims and NRCan ratings on the 2026 trims.

Seven seats is not always the default layout. Tesla Canada's Model X page lists five seats as standard, up to seven on the dual-motor Model X and up to six on the Plaid, and notes that the Model X is no longer in production. Cadillac Canada's Escalade IQ page lists a power-folding third row on every trim. Each EVpedia vehicle page shows the seating capacity on file, so check the trim you are pricing.

MSRP excludes freight, PDI, taxes and any incentive you might qualify for, and a higher trim can change both range and price. Prices and ranges are snapshots of what EVpedia lists today, not a ranking. To explore the rest, browse the full vehicle list.
